I'm thinking about developing a story around my pumpkin'man picture. (ya know, the guy in the Autumn Angel pic)
I don't have many good ideas at the moment, so everything has a chance of being changed. At the moment I'm considering calling him Crow... Possibly even Crow Pumpkin'man. (yeah, it's so original, but it's kinda cute right?) Anyway, He's a powerful spirit, and what determines if he's good or evil is the heart of the person he is around the most.
I can't decide if I want to make him able to talk or not. Since this will just be a writen story with only a few illusrations, it might be hard to make him loveable if he can't speak.
Maybe he's summoned by some.... I dunno, interesting bad guy of some sort, to do his evil deeds and all that stuff, but he looses controll of the pumpkin'man and it escapes to go on some horrible killing spree or something like that. But the further away the spirit gets from the bad guy, the less evil he becomes and just kinda becomes some lost roaming spirit-thing. He scares the hell outta some crazy farmers and they try to beat him to death and tie him to some branches and leave him out in the middle of a wheat field like a scarecrow. One of the younger kids of a local farmer finds him. The kid doesn't think he's scary at all and gets him down. Since the kid has a good heart the pumpkin man also becomes very good hearted. He becomes the kid's only friend and they're all happy and stuff like Calvin and Hobbes, untill the Evil bad guy that summoned/created the pumpkin man comes back and demans that the kid give the pumpkinman back to him. Some kinda fight thing happens where the pumpkinman must choose to be good or bad and somehow saves the kids life and kills the evil guy. No idea where to go from there.
I'd be happy to hear what you guys think of the ideas so far. Feel free the leave whatever comment you want, positive or negative, Any input will help. ^_^

Woo!
GenCon was a great success, I believe we had record attendance this year. Tons of awesome games, helpful portfolio reviews, and good sales! Not to mention I got to see tons of friends and family I've missed for WAY too long. I've been crazy busy since then with commissions I picked up at the show, and I seem to be booked until the end of October. Still, anyone interested in a commission, always feel free to email and ask. :)
So yeah, Just felt like this journal needed an update! Best wishes to everyone and thanks for your support!

Now open for commissions!
I'm taking commissions again! :D If there's something you want me to draw, just send me an email (schleter@gmail.com) and we'll work it out! I do my best to be reasonable with prices, so no worries!
PLUS I'm all set up to have an art booth at a couple cons over the summer. Changed my business name to "Lor Illustration" and so far I have spaces at GenCon and Origins, and with luck the table at Go!DaikoCon will come through as well. I'll be selling prints and doing character sketches there, so if you happen to be heading to the con, I'd love to see ya! :)
This year has been pretty good art wise, got a little work with WOTC, Fantasy Flight, an
Convention season!
I'll be at Gencon, Indy this year selling sketches and prints. My illustration 'business' is called Gilded Pixels. I hope to see you there!
^_^
April 1st- ya got me
OK. So the whole Team "insert stupid thing here", dev Avi thing scared the crap out of me. As I slowly get over being pissed, I can see the humor in it. Nicely done. *slow cynical clapping*
Oh yeah, If you're planning to go to GenCon this year in Indy, please stop by my booth and say hello! :) -more info about that soon.
Well, I'm gonna get back to working on my comic book now.
